Core values
They make up our group-wide corporate culture and provide the framework for the actions and decisions of all our employees.
b.brave
We have the courage to leave well-trodden and familiar paths to try new things. If we make mistakes, we take responsibility for them, learn from them and, therefore, win together.
b.hungry
We are driven by unconditional motivation and are convinced that increased performance pays off. We set ambitious goals and pursue them with total commitment.
b.connected
Knowledge means a competitive edge in the market. We network as much as possible to share and combine our know-how and experience. This is how we work together to develop the best possible solutions for our customers.
b.responsible
We take responsibility for our actions. This is why we have a high sense of responsibility, think sustainably and act responsibly.
b.real
We are authentic, say what we think and do what we say. Commitment, honesty and humanity triumph.
b.proud
Experience values – every day anew!
As CEO of the Berner Group, I am proud to be able to say that 8,500 employees in three divisions at 55 locations are jointly aligning the group for the future.
My father and company founder Albert Berner shaped the Berner Group through the values that underlie its actions and, thus, made it successful.
This success story and the underlying values will continue to shape us in the future and form part of our values. Another part sets the stage for mastering the global challenges of the 21st century in a courageous and agile way.
I am committed to these values and I guarantee that they will be lived in the Berner Group – every day anew!
be Berner Group!

Berner Group Value Award 2017
Let actions speak for themselves, experience values!
Corporate values only make a difference if they are lived daily by all employees. They shape how we act, how we communicate with customers, partners and each other and how we act and make decisions. At some point they become part of “our DNA”.
Many employees already show today what the values mean when they are implemented. That’s why we have been looking at all locations and departments in the group to find colleagues who stand for our values with their personal histories – in keeping with the motto, “Let actions speak for themselves, experience values”.

Numerous entries were discussed by a jury and evaluated according to defined criteria. We found many great stories:
Winning story b.brave
Markus Bode
This literally “valuable” story is about Markus Bode and how he had the courage as a student and intern to address Mr. Berner at our value kickoff event and point out ways to improve logistics.
See for yourself – our winning story for b.brave.
Winning story b.hungry
Sergej Miller
b.hungry – what does that actually mean? Do not let yourself be defeated by setbacks, do not lose your ambition, believe in yourself.
Sergej Miller, sales representative at Berner Germany, shows us how much this value pays off in our daily work.
Winning story b.connected
Alexander Tenner
In the fast, digitized business world, it is primarily those who are able to network as much as possible that are successful. Exchanging information and knowledge, learning from each other, implementing quickly – this is how we make progress. This is what our important driver value b.connected stands for.
Alexander Tenner, sales consultant at BTI, shows a striking example of what this can mean in practice.
Winning story special award
Andrew Firth
Our shared values make our group of companies and each individual employee very special. Not only do they provide stability and orientation, they also lead us to success when lived daily.
What Andrew Firth and the KENT team have achieved in Italy is an impressive example of what our six values can achieve.
b.brave, b.hungry, b.connected, b.responsible, b.real, b.proud or just b.bernergroup!
